Basic knowledge of LED linear lighting

2021-06-22

1. Luminous flux (lm)

The total amount of light emitted by the LED linear lamp luminous body. The energy that the light source radiates to the surrounding space per unit time and makes the human eye produce light perception.

2. Luminous intensity (cd)

The luminous flux emitted by the LED linear lamp luminous body within a unit solid angle in a specific direction.

3. Light source efficiency (lm/W)

Indicates the number of lumens that the light source can emit per watt of electricity, which is the light effect. Luminous efficiency is an important indicator to measure the luminous efficiency of a light source.

Four, illuminance

The luminous flux of the luminous body illuminating the unit area of the illuminated object

5. Brightness (cd/m2)

The luminous intensity per unit area of the luminous body in the line of sight. Calculation formula: Since the visual perception formed by a luminous body imaging on the retina is proportional to the illuminance of the object image on the retina, the greater the illuminance of the object image, the brighter we feel; and the illuminance of the object image is in the direction of the line of sight. The projected area is inversely proportional to the luminous intensity of the luminous body in the line of sight.
